"As a conceptual work, The Play House is layered. It functions from the inside out. During the day there is performance inside the “frame”. Viewers are first passive, but then become active. Everyone is being filmed, they will see themselves projected onto the cube’s exterior at night. Multiple activations are going on simultaneously: The Lot is activated by the cube; the performers and the crowd who enter the space become activated because it’s all falling into a frame, a boundary that has randomly been selected as an artistic realm."
